Band of Geldings

"I did not smoke while composing this.

This is the third time that I have eaten Thanksgiving dinner out of a Styrofoam tray because I have been deployed.

Boo fucking hoo. Poor me. Hey, I should write a heartfelt, rambling post where I act like I’m smarter than everybody and spend the entire post complaining. Better throw in some pictures of the Iraqi sunset too."

MADTOM, lol, you always have the best posts. I just love your blog.

I am sorry you are once again eating out of "styrofoam." Your Turkey dinner ought to be served on a big platter in the company of your loved ones.

Thank you for all you have sacrificed. I know lately it seems that you and all our troops are on a back burner. Believe me when I say you are all always at the fore front of my mind.

Lately, I have felt at a loss as to how to best support you all on my blog. Events back home seemed to me to be the best way prior to the election as I felt that the threat of socialism in the Congress was a serious and damaging threat to our Democracy. It seemed to me that as you troops fight for Democracy, freedom for our nation and others, we at home were letting you all down by allowing socialism to gain such a foot hold here at home.
I am astounded that there seems to be so few who see this. Thank God since the election, FOX News is openly using the terms socialism and Marxism that appeared to be such taboo topics before the election by any network except FOX. Had Sarah Palin not openly started talking about it, I don't know if FOX would have continued to address the issue. Now, they have stopped pulling the punches!

I hope you and all our troops had a great Thanksgiving, at least under the circumstances. The progress you have all made in Iraq is truly amazing. I pray that the new efforts in Afghanistan also are successful. My fears is that Obama will pull the plug too soon. If Pelosi and the other leftist have their way you would all be home yesterday!

Vietnam all over again. The Tet Offensive completely ignored. The death of millions due to the orchestration of one small minded politician, Ted Kennedy. I remember that time. I also now know much more about what really went on behind the anti war movement then and now. I will never stop speaking out against this travesty.

Thank you for your links. I want to use them as a update source in a post by listing your links. Is that OK with you?

Sure you use all the links you want.
Don't worry, the communist will never succeed.
Oh, yeah, I am not a soldier, I am a civilian sitting in sunny South Florida, though I still had to eat on styrofoam plates.
