Raining on the Parade: The Left Edition
"Milblogging has really come into its own during the last three years of the War on Terror. Instead of relying on media accounts, troops on the ground are bringing parts of Iraq and Afghanistan to the United States. JP’s interview in the Wall Street Journal just proves that a lot of Americans are trusting Milblogs over MSM, as they should.Yea but the medal of honor is just not in your face like Abu Ghraib is.
However, leave it to the Left to rain on the parade. Instead of applauding JP on his recognition, and by proxy the 1,441 military blogs in 27 countries currently in Milblogging.com’s database, several commentators at Wonkette roll in thunderstorm style in regards to Blackfive’s Medals of Honor and Abu Ghraib statement. It appears about half way through the interview.
Blackfive’s statment:"

I remember the debates when the story first came out, how that behavior was defended, how we were told that we were out of date, how we just did not understand the situation, how we would give the terrorist more rights than they deserved. I still remember being drowned out by the sound of the roaring crowds of Abu Grraib supporters.
No Abu Ghraib is a stain that goes out beyond the few perps that were involved, they had thousands of willing drivers waiting in the car outside.
