"It has been an interesting stretch, during which I have been remiss in updating my blog, something I will try to improve upon, but will make no promises to. We finally stopped guarding FOB Honor, which the Iraqis have taken over. Hopefully they won’t loot it like they did the palace we handed over to them up in Tikrit, but frankly they’re really just sifting through the leftovers after American units had at it for about a month. And of course, the day of the official handover that had to be something interesting going on, which you may have read about in the news (story here). As is to be expected, I would describe the story that made the news to be the partial truth at best"
