"At least 11 bodies have been discovered near a school in south-western Baghdad.
Some of the dead had been blindfolded and shot, while others were beheaded, according to reports.
Witnesses told police that the bodies were dumped by pick-up truck on waste ground near a school in the Um al-Maalef area of the city.
Violent killings have become common in Iraq in recent months, fuelling sectarian tension between Sunni and Shias, correspondents say."
