Sami Al-Askari, a lawmaker of the United Iraqi Accord, said today that the Islamic Dawa Party is Islamic and will remain so. He disavowed the accuracy of declarations made by some that the party had changed its ways and become a secular party.

Al-Askari told “Newsmatique” today Saturday that “The declarations of Islamic Dawa Party member Salah Abdul-Razzaq were bad and do not represent the ways or the thinking of the party,” emphasizing that “these declarations will not change the reality of the Dawa Party or change it from an Islamic Party to a secular one.”"
