waking up

"A couple weeks ago, about 6:30 AM I was soundly asleep for once when I heard what sounded like an explosion just outside our barracks, like maybe a rocket or RPG hitting. I sprang up out of bed, my heart started racing and I was seconds away from grabbing all my gear but stopped when I noticed my roommate still asleep. Promptly I said, “Hey! Dude did you hear that? It sounded like a freakin’ bomb just went off outside our window!” He murmured to me he didn’t hear anything and nothing happened. It was loud enough to where nobody could sleep through it so I began to wonder if I was just hearing things if he was still asleep."
