"Iraqi interior ministry closes Sharqiya TV
By Adel Fakher
Baghdad, Jan 1, (VOI) - The Iraqi interior minister decided on Monday to close the Sharqiya satellite channel studios in Baghdad for what the minister described as "inciting sectarian violence." "The interior minister Jawad al-Bolani decided to close al-Sharqiya TV studios in Baghdad for inciting sectarian violence, broadcast groundless news and misquote statements given by sources at the interior ministry," spokesman for the interior ministry, Brigadier Abdul-Karim Khalaf, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI). The spokesman added "the Sharqiya TV was warned before against inciting sectarian violence." Al-Sharqiya, a private satellite, is owned by the international az-Zaman foundation with studios in Baghdad and Dubai of UAE. The international az-Zaman foundation is run by Iraqi journalist Saad al-Bazaz."

I wonder who will close down the Iraqi ministries for putting out propaganda. Propaganda we now have direct proof of.
