1st Platoon Updates

"Well, where do I start...? Usually, I encourage the Soldiers to write most of the blogs so they can stay in contact with their families. However, due to a recent over-tasking in missions, the majority of them are out. We have had some significant changes occur in the last few days. Since the Inspector General’s office decided that they needed a Senior NCO to assist with all the complaints that get filed, they pulled SFC Scholz from the unit. One day we were a cohesive working team, and then next I was astonished to see that he was pulled and could not be the platoon sergeant. We are in the process of a transition where Master Sergeant Echtenkamp from maintenance section will be taking over. He has quite a bit of experience and was previously deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom when the war first started. His experience and knowledge will bring a lot to the table. "
