US Media Needs to Expand News Coverage

"I do not watch TV much, but the past few years it has been interesting to compare US media on cable versus the variety of news channels available on satellite, especially in other countries. Except for occasion documentaries (CNN, etc), the US News media falls very short of reporting world events and news unless it is a tragic event. Thus, the American people receive very limited information to events and issues which exist in the world, unless they purposely look for other news. "
