Neoconservatism: Why We Need It (Hardcover)

If, like me, everything you know about neoconservative politics, and politics in general, comes from the popular press, you need to read this book. Douglas Murray's work is a breath of fresh air. It's well-informed, engaging, easy to read and, crucially, short; you can get through it in a matter of days. Compared with other political ideals in history, and in light of the experience of Britain in particular, I also found the neoconservatism he championed both reasonable and convincing. 'Neoconservatism: why we need it' is a brilliant discourse on where Britain is at as a Western society, and where it's heading. But while it makes for some disturbing reading at times, my intellect and spirits were ultimately uplifted when I read this book. Finally there's someone out there who calls a spade a spade and doesn't worry about hurting the spade's feelings.

C-SPAN 2 Book TV schedule

No I have not gone crazy or had an aneurysm, but the guy on C-SPAN book TV the author, is making so much sense in his presentation that I felt compelled to post this book. I don't know what say, maybe they have finally got to me and poisoned my water, or maybe this guy really make sense.

Maybe it's just a gut feeling that hiding under my bed will not help, that this enemy really wants to kill my ass and that no matter where I run and hide, eventually they will find me and cut my fucking head off. But that's just me.

I've heard that before. Maybe it's you that will be absorbed into a broader movement.

Great joke, b. will derd!

I regard Al Qaeda and all its supporters as a bunch of losers who can never win. Neoconservatives are really scary, though. Lucky that Latin America, the Middle East, Russia and China have formed a global anti-neoconservative front. half of Western Europe, including me support the anti-neoconservatives. Go Chavez, go Ahmedinejad, go Putin!
