O Iraqis, they make songs now celebrating your deaths!

"In Iraq, from bad to worse, from Nazi to Satanic, the US military continues to seek new lows of human debasement with which to beat its chests.

Today the BBC has revealed that there is a US military probe into a song composed by a US Marine singing about his joys at killing Iraqi civilians.

This is the video, see it before someone realizes that the US military is really going all out to prove how humanitarian they really are."
Truth about Iraqis
I really don't understand all the fuss about this song. You guys will have to explain it to me. I heard it, and sure it's dark humor, but that's all it is, or at least that's all I took from it. It's a song with an old tried and tested theme, the tragic love story set within the backdrop of the Iraq war.
Maybe for his next performance he should play "Mary had a little lamb", but then I am sure you would find something offensive about that too.

Just change it to "Omar had a little lamb" and I'm sure you will see what I mean.

I was certainly meant to be humourous, obviously. But it also succinctly told the story of the US military in Iraq. Came to Iraq and brought some Western comforts from home, met and 'loved' some Iraqis who seemingly adopted some of those things offerred, naively thought they were being welcomed into their homes only to be greeeted by viscious killers willing to murder their own out of some perverted notion of 'honor' and desire to kill US personel at any cost to their own, then had to dispatch those killers with extreme predjudice---its all in the few lines of the song. Really kind of brilliant when you look at at, whether intentional or not. I get the felling it was intentional.

Well if it as you say " succinctly told the story ", then it's art. I still don't see anything wrong with it. I described it as Dark Humor, but what else would you expect in the middle of a war? The big complaint I saw today was that the crowd responded to it by laughing, I'm like laughing? so what the guy was performing inside what I guess was the mess hall or something, who know maybe it was "America Idol" night, not like this is the first music video out of Iraq, what are these people supposed to be signing about. I really doubt that war would very far from their thoughts even on their time off.

Anyway thanks for your comment, please come again.
