Targeting Iraqi Civilians in Msayyab
"...On another note, my brother is spending his 6th night in jail. He's just one of the thousands of people in Iraq who disappeared and ended up in one of the many jails and prisons around the country without a clear reason.Well if everything we are hearing that the family wanted to keep a low profile so they could work behind the scenes to secure Khalids release is true, well then his brother Raed is doing the exact opposite. From the look of it he's stroking the fires to get a bigger flame. They clain to be afraid of the US and it's Iraqi puppets, yet he has no problem posting this. Makes you wonder, maybe he's ready to sacrafice his own brother to his "resistance" masters.
The number of U.S.-held prisoners in Iraq reached all-time record levels earlier in June and has since gone down slightly. The average prisoner total in June stood at 10,783. The number of Iraqis held in Iraq's governmental and paramilitary jails is unidentified.
My mom freaked out yesterday and deleted all the Arabic posts on her blog. She thinks the Iraqi government would keep khalid imprisoned if they knew his family is anti-occupation and critical to the current regime. She reminded me of what my old friend Salam (aka salam pax) did three years ago when he deleted our joint blog fearing that Iraq's old mukhabarat would find it, I couldn't sleep that night.
I can't sleep tonight either.
history repeats itself"
