Kurdish Administrations to Unify
"(Kurdistani New) A majority of the Kurdistan regional parliament approved the Kurdistan Region President law during a session in Irbil. The law paves the way for the unification of the two Kurdish administrations.Wow did I read that last sentence correctly? Looks like a term limit on the office of the president. To bad they did not have one of those in saddams day.
The political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan will meet Thursday to discuss steps to unify the administrations and distribute ministerial posts. The KDP and PUK will each receive 8 to 10 ministerial posts, according to a source.
A provision of the law allows the president to serve for two terms."
