Iraq: Kurdish Parties Agree To Convene Parliament
"The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) have agreed to convene the Kurdistan parliament following months of political wrangling over the presidential post and leadership of a unified Kurdish administration."This sounds like great news. The report talks about a top down agreement to sit parliament, but the part I found interesting is that they are talking about a four year term on the presidency. Compared to last term, like 13 years for the last administration, it sounds like an improvement and a step in the right direction.
