Proposal: Swarming Drones to Counter Russian Stealth
"“For three decades the United States has held the undisputed monopoly on the most important military technology of the Cold War era — stealth,” writes Dr. Carlo Kopp from the Air Power Australia think tank. “That monopoly is set to end in the coming decade as the Russians, Indians and, likely, Chinese deploy a new generation of military aircraft designs.”
Leaving aside the unlikely prospect of a stealthy Chinese fighter, what Kopp’s really talking about is the long-ballyhooed PAK-FA stealth fighter under development by India and Russia. But this Indo-Russian version of the American F-22 fighter has never actually appeared in public in any form, and might very well be a “paper” airplane that exists only in plans, simulations and (maybe) budget documents."
War is Boring
Not to mention S300 missile systems.
