""No Baghdadi Mentioned The Surge""
"Okay, so the shiny-happy why-not-go-back- to-Iraq camp's argument was that Nir Rosen is irreparably biased to be reporting meaningfully on Iraq, but I wonder what are you going to dig up on formerly pro-war Iraqi Christian blogger-turned-news photographer Ghaith Abdul-Ahad after watching his recent series of films, City of Walls, which is almost incomparable in pessimism with Rosen:"Here in America people pay extra to live in a walled community. I really don't see how this is proof that the surge has failed? Security is better, violence is down, reconstruction is starting back up again, and the central Government is actually starting to work out dispute, if only the easy stuff. Where is the failure? This is only a failure to those that lost in the resistance.
Konfused Kid
My advise, sell all your stock in Resistance funds, and buy Iraqi.

Hahahahaha!
You know, I have thought the very same thing everytime I read someone complaining about the walled communities in Baghdad: that gated communities are considered uppity and pretentious in the US, and that we pay more to live in neighborhoods and apartments with walls.
You know I left a much more snarky comment after this one. I almost felt like I was back at Raed in the Middle, so I just want to apologies in advance.
