South Florida TV station airs Saddam execution video.
I can't believe it but Hialeah TV show "A Mano Limpia" just aired the Saddam cell phone execution video on the air. I think it's a first, or a low, whichever way you want to look at it for American TV.
I wonder if the Internet has made this broadcast possible? I mean anyone that wanted to see it could have by now, it's been up here minuets after it hit the internet, but usually TV does not broadcast this type of violent video.
Haza the shows host goes on to give reaction from the Cuban government which called the execution, "a crime against humanity". I guess maybe the dictators in la Habana are felling the heat, and maybe an itch around the neck, after seeing one of their own swinging from the gallows.
I guess saddam has put America TeVe the shows network on the map. Who said you could not have your pie and eat it too.
I know that Cubans of all stripes support the war in Iraq to remove a dictator. Even though we the Cuban community still suffers greatly from our on dictator, and we know that the war in Iraq most probably delayed, or even eliminate any chance that the US would help us rid the island of it's current dictatorship. We know that one less dictator, and one freed people, puts us one step closer to our own freedom, even if it's not today. But we know that one day we will defeat the forces of oppression and have our day in court, and our day at the foot of the gallows.
