Comment on the Turko-Kurdish peace conference

"Some more "positive developments":
Speakers at a conference in Ankara were screaming for peace one after the other on Saturday and Sunday. Writers, academics, journalists and politicians were exchanging opinions and "searching for peace in Turkey" at the conference, but as expected the Turkish state wasn't there. The government must have either been busy with other more important things, or it just didn't comprehend that only through establishing a better understanding of each other can we overcome the threat of the growing "the other" perception in this country."
