So much for milestones.

We had an exciting day as we bugged out due to unspecified threats. Those rides home after getting a warning like this are always special, bonding times. Until you’ve been on one, it’s hard to describe. Nothing draws you closer as a unit than the fear of impending death. OK, it’s not really that bad. But the hairs do stand up on the neck as you race home. Things have been so quiet here; we’ve been waiting for the other shoe to drop.
