Returning to Tallil

"After a three month stay in An Numaniyah, Iraq on one of the most fulfilling missions the Army had to offer, training the New Iraqi Army, our mission completed. Life in An Numaniya, on an Iraqi post, is a bit different than the life in Tallil at the “flag pole”.

The readjustment is going well. There was talk in An Numaniya about how this would go, and what the reunion would be like as we integrated back into our platoons. Most of us from the Interim Transition Team were apprehensive and thought that we wouldn’t be accepted back so well. I can’t speak for the others that have come back, but it’s been great for me. My platoon accepted me with open arms and enjoy the extra body around to help out. "
