From George Allen to . . . Nouri Al Maliki?

"The recent revelation in September that Sen. George Allen's mother is Jewish generated a lot of excited press, much of it noting that a lot of well-known politicians turn out to have a Jewish connection. The most amusing such take was a Charles Krauthammer column citing John Kerry's two Jewish grandparents and Hillary Clinton's Jewish stepgrandfather, along with the cases of Madeleine Albright, Wesley Clark, France's Nicolas Sarkozy, Russia's Vladimir Zhirinovsky, and (based on his own claim) Cuba's Fidel Castro. Krauthammer offered the theory that "Everyone is Jewish until proven otherwise.""
