Open Letter to Military Big Brother

"Dear Military Big Brother,
I know you’re out there. You’re probably sitting in an office in DC or Quantico Googling the hell out of milblogs to see what we are up to these days. Well, how about I just give you a quick round up.

We are not happy with you. No, not in the least. You’re keeping a close eye on us like you should, but don’t go too far. I appreciate the efforts to ensure OpSec is observed that will keep me and the rest of the Marines safe, but realize we are your greatest ally in the other war that is going on. That war is not one of bullets, mortars, or IEDs. That war is of public relations."

This current batch of censorship reports reminds me of the one where you feed the alligator, hoping he eats you last.

To tell the truth I don't know what to make of it. Could the administration really be this stupid, shooting itself in the foot a week before an election. Is it a mutiny, or is it some GOP strategy to curb accusations of favoritism?

I mean some of the milblogs currently complaining are in fact great milblogs, some of the best ever, but come on, they also part time as GOP campaign adds.

What went wrong? I have much more to say, but I am just going to STFU till I know more.
