Nope to the Pope

"Smile ladies and gentlemen. You are in the middle of the clash of civilization as profesized by Samuel Huntington 16 years ago. The young among you, ladies and gentlemen, will one day tell their children that they witnessed the inception of the clash between the Islamic world and the rest of the world, the "Christian" West in particular.

This clash is the result of three things. First, the inability of the current unreformed version of Islam to be compatible with the values taken for granted in Catholic Italy, Buddist South Korea, and Shinto Japan. Second, the failure of the Muslim world to recognize the true cause of their malady due to the fact that it is busy focusing on external factors (US, Israel, Jews, etc). Third, the terrible blunders of those outside the Islamic world who fail to fathom the seriousness of the clash we're currently witnessing but instead agrivate the situation even more. Pope's Benedict's speech is a good example."
