A Vanezuelan on Chavez

"I found this Venezuelan blog by a mere accident. The writer is obviously not so excited about the new hero of the Middle East, Hugo Chavez. Yesterday Chavez was interviewed on Al Jazeera where he equated Israel's operations in Lebanon with what Adolf Hitler did. You know, I just like it when people equate what their enemies do with what Hitler did in world war 2, because it's an easy way to not take what they say that seriously. Frequent readers of this blog know that I have criticized Israel for some of the things it did in Lebanon so far, but to say that they match Hitler's atrocities across Europe, come on. I gave an example of this point here.

Anyway, here is what this venezuelan blogger said in a letter addressed to Israelis

Now Chavez in his megalomania has turned his gaze to the Middle East where he wants to become a player. I can assure you, dear Israeli leader, or even dear any Middle East reader, that it is a decision of Chavez alone with his camarilla. We, as a people, have never been consulted on what should be Venezuela's policy in the Middle East. And I can assure you that we will never be consulted on that topic by Chavez. In fact, he has long stopped consulting with anyone on anything except perhaps the soon to be corpse of Castro.
