Hurricane Ernesto

Today TS Ernesto has been upgraded to a cat 1 hurricane and as you can see from this latest map it's projected path has moved north to include the South Florida area. It's still early and there is no telling where this storm will go, or what category it will be when it hits.

For now it's looks for sure to strike Cuba making what looks like a direct hit on Cardenas, the city my parents are from. Our prayers go out to our relation still trapped on the Island.

One thought that runs thought my mind is that maybe this hurricane is what's needed on the island to spark the revolt and help push the dieing regime firmly into it's grave. A bit macob, but when you've waited 47 years to see some change even a hurricane seems like a good thing.

Then again with the current US administration holding on to it's last few supporters and the rats jumping off the sinking ship, this storm could also do some sever damage to the administration here at home. If that projected path holds true and a cat 3 hit's Tampa the administration better be on it's best behavior and better be ready to deal with the aftermath. Florida's red state status is on the line.
