Czech Republic shows interest in Iraq reconstruction

The Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals recently met with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Iraq to discuss trade and economic relations between the two countries.

The Minister said that Iraq needs expertise to convert the military state companies into civilian enterprises and to rehabilitate the Agricultural Tractors Plant that was built by a Czech company during the former regime.

The Czech Ambassador said that his country is ready to help Iraq by supporting the Iraqi private sector and by training Iraqi staff to reactivate industrial plants in Iraq.
