Last night we were called out to the vehicles and placed on standby because 1-14 Cav got lit up on Route Tampa and had 1 dead and 3 wounded. As usual they were out playing cowboy looking for the shit...they found it. We had a couple of fast movers go over orbiting the city when we saw them decend. We were all so sure they were going to drop one on Mosul. They didn't.

Then we find out everyone else is going to Tall Afar for a few days while we stay here to hold the city. The companies will rotate out each day. Now the viscious viscious is that we may not go down south at all since we're so short."
