Army Moves Soldiers During Gay Porn Probe
"A group of paratroopers from the elite 82nd Airborne Division have been moved from their regular barracks while military officials investigate allegations that they appeared on a gay pornography Web site, a spokeswoman said Tuesday.Just the other day someone "which will remain nameless" was telling me how there was not a witch hunt for gays in the military. Well what do you call this. I see a witch hunt right here, the story says that there was no reference to the 82d Airborne, of Ft Bragg at the site, so why the investigation?
The investigation is still at an early stage, division spokeswoman Maj. Amy Hannah said in a statement. The move was prompted by concerns for the soldiers' privacy and rights, not for fears about their safety, she said.
The 82nd Airborne acknowledged the investigation last week but declined to say how many soldiers might have appeared on the military- themed porn site. A defense official speaking on condition of anonymity said last week that as many as seven soldiers were involved.
The paratroopers have been allowed to seek legal assistance, but no charges have been filed, the division has said.
There are no direct references on the Web site to the 82nd Airborne or its home base, Fort Bragg. "
BreitBart
And according to this site they are "allegations that they appeared on a gay pornography Web site" appearing on a web site does not or at least should not constitute any violation. Now when this story broke the other day I looked at the site. From the small random sampling I saw there was relatively no gay activity, only masturbation videos.
Now the question is, If I pose for a masturbation video, and then that video in marketed towards the gay community, does that constitute "homosexual conduct"?
If you ask me this is a witch hunt, much like the Saudi cartoon issue designed to cover up some more important news, like the recent news of kidnapping women in Iraq.
My guess

They are not being charges with public indecency, are they? And if that is in fact the rule then I can only imagine that a few Internet savvy "activist" could get a hole host of members "moved out of barracks". I bet it would only take me a few search terms to come up with a host of web pages full of material that would violate that rule. And of course a short trip to the local tity bar with my camcorder would do.
And it probably became noticed because of the NSA program, I'll bet you a dollar once it all comes out that this is what they came up with in their dragnet. Or of course like I said before, they needed something to distract, or something to fire up the base for the State of the Union.
Did you notice there was NO mention of castro, not once. Of course stemm cells and "marriage" were high on the list.
"Relative to what?"
Relative to the sample I saw. I was trying to be clear, I did not conduct a comprehensive investigation, I opened a few galleries that were offered on another website as advertisement and looked at the offerings, my report is based on that. What I saw was at least 98% solo masturbation videos. In the remaining 2% half left no doubt that the video contained gay activity, in the other half, I saw an extra hand in the picture. But as far as I know there was no definitive proof as to what sex that hand belonged too. I'll leave that determination to the experts.
I've never been to Moveon so I would not know.
Well I picked the word drag-net to be funny, but no I was being serious in my speculation.
