Al Qaeda in Iraq Threatens to Kill Diplomat and Driver

"BAGHDAD, Iraq, Nov. 3 - The Islamic militant group Al Qaeda in Iraq announced in an Internet posting today that it would kill a Moroccan diplomat and his driver who were kidnapped in Baghdad last month.

The announcement came as the American military announced the deaths of three more American soldiers, bringing the two-day death toll for American troops here to eight.

The Moroccans, identified by the militant group as Abderrahim Boualem, a driver, and Abdelkrim El Mohsfidi, an employee in the Moroccan embassy in Baghdad, had been kidnapped on Oct. 20 on the road from Jordan to Baghdad."
