"London (TheKurdistani.com) – The first commercial flight between the British capital, London, and south [Iraqi] Kurdistan is scheduled for 26th of October 2005, according to a press-release by Sawan Airline on Labour Friend's of Iraq website.
The press-release which was first posted on LabourfriendofIraq.org.uk on 30th of September 2005 states that the flight will take off from London’s Stansted airport to Erbil International Airport in Erbil (Hewler), Kurdistan.
The flight runs on a weekly basis and it is non-stop to Erbil Airport. There is an additional route running from Stockholm-Copenhagen to Erbil, first flight being on the 27th October.

The Kurds keep marching forward while Iraq slide back and back towards dictatorship. If I was going to make a prediction, I predict that Kurdistan will make it to EU membership before Turkey ever does.
