Iraqi Turkmen Front calls Iraqis to vote "No" on 15th of October

"Baghdad (Almendhar.com) - The Iraqi Turkmen Front has called all Iraqis to participate in the plebiscite on the constitution. Dr. Sa'd Eddin Arkeej, head of the front, said that the Turkmen would vote with 'No' to the constitution as it has not granted them the simplest of their rights.

He pointed out that the constitution should guarantee equal rights for all races and sects without discrimination or offering one party privileges over other parties.

He pointed out that the lack of granting Turkmen their full rights in the constitution would give them the choice of voting with 'No'. He stressed the necessity of making some amendments in the constitution draft, so that it would be fully accepted on behalf of the Iraqi people."
