"Damn computer time is hard to find now. I still don't know if the room I'm in is permenant so I don't want to pay for internet yet and the internet lab near our barracks was shut down after several hard drives were stolen (which also compromised several thousand soldiers personal information, my ss# is out there somewhere now along with who knows what else). I got back from leave a few days ago and there were rumors floating around that we would get a chance to volunteer to help out in New Orleans, one of our guys actually lives near there and was barely able to get home from leave. He called to try and get permission to join the local relief effort and was denied....there are a lot of us that want to go there and help out and one would think that they would gladly take all the help they could get but it doesn't look like any of us are going to get to go....what the fuck chuck??? "
