Better safe than sorry

Boy, Katrina sure seems to have put the fear of god and hurricanes into people. I was just out on the streets to run some errands, and the streets are empty, most of the businesses are closed and it's like a ghost town. Right now it's the lunch time rush but the streets are empty. People were taking no chances of being caught in a rush hour traffic while a storm rolled in like last time, and they all stayed home to wait out Rita. In a way that's a good thing, except that Rita is nothing more than a rainy day. There is a feeder band coming though right now, and it dose have some hurricane characteristics, but it's nothing more than a little rain. But people were taking no chances this time. Better safe than sorry

Moron,

I'm in south Florida, the Miami area. Yes I love fishing

Alan,

Well it's over now, didn't do much just some rain. I would be more worried about where the storm goes from here. I think the models have it hitting Texas as a cat 3
