The issue

"That being said, I think there is an issue with lack of armor for our combat support and combat service support units. They are the ones driving up and down the highways every day carrying supplies to the combat units and, in my opinion, they need armored vehicles just as much as the infantry and armor guys. I've seen a number of their trucks with scavenged, and "home-built" armor."

Some right wing commentators have suggested that unarmoured vehicles are never used in raids, or in violent military action. This is absurd for two reasons, firstly for its untruth, as this Marine's experience demonstrates, and secondly precisely because a lot of the killings have not occured in units engaged in active fighting, but in unarmoured vehicles plying the supply line, driven by reservists.
