Combat Artist Collection

Hello:

I am writing to introduce you and those who follow your blog to the Combat Artist Collection, which is our way of honoring those who are serving or have served our country as part of the U.S. Military. We are hoping that you will consider helping us get the word out about one of our nation's greatest treasures; Combat Artwork though your blog.

Our family business has created the Combat Artist Collection, which is the very fist time that Combat Artwork (illustrated from the battlefield) has ever been shared in any form outside of a military art exhibit.

We have created this unique way of honoring those who serve our country through a collection of very special casual shirts featuring the artwork that has been created some of the nation's most respect soldier artists.

am contacting you because I believe that the Combat Artist Collect conveys an important perspective on our Country's conflicts in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, and gives our veterans the opportunity to make a statement of their service. Moreover it inspires pride and patriotism.

We appreciate your efforts to keep the military community informed and connected through your blog. We know how much work goes into a project like this and we have prepared an article that you are free to publish. Here is a link to the article and a photo you can use... Just cut/copy/paste and you are good to go!

I believe that those who read your blog will be interested in the Combat Artist Collection as a way of sharing their pride in the job that they have preformed for all of us. The attached recent newspaper article best describes the Combat Artist Collection and will make for interesting content within your blog so feel free to cut and paste it if you should wish. You can also send your readers directly to our site at CombatArtistCollection.com. By way of thanks we would be happy to post a link to your site from both our website and our Facebook page.

Each branch of the U.S. Military will be featured on their own individual shirts in our collection with the Army and Air Force being available now and the Marie Corps and Navy following within the next few weeks.

One of the twelve Combat Artists that makes up our collection is R. G. Smith who was the oldest Combat Artist serving our country in Vietnam and whose Combat Artwork has created a very special shirt which we call “the WALL” honoring all those who served in Vietnam along with those whose names are engraved on the WALL at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington DC.

It has taken us over two years of extensive research in tracking down and then acquiring the exclusive licenses to use the Official Battlefield Artwork and personal journal entries of those artists in our collection and I believe that along with the Combat Artwork, the artists personal journal entries will be of equal interest to those who follow your blog.

According to many in our military, "Combat Artwork represents one of our country’s greatest resources of 20th Century American Artwork that almost no one has ever seen."

Until this collection was created, Combat Artwork has never before been made available to those who serve outside of a Base Art Exhibit, displayed at the Pentagon or Smithsonian Institute.

The Combat Artist Shirt Collection represents the very first time that Combat Artwork has been made available to wear as a memory of service and pride in a job well done. “The Combat Artist has, for hundreds of years, captured the service and sacrifice of the American veteran. Using their creativity and talent, they have depicted in accurate detail the character of American Military men and women and the horrors of war they endure.” -Author Unknown Combat Artist.

Each one of the shirts in our collection features artwork by a separate Combat Artist who has served in battle capturing the heroic efforts of the men and women who serve heroically in protecting our country.

Each shirt in the Combat Artist Collection honors those who have fought in Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam and we are now working to locate Combat Artists who served in World War II and Korea for the next additions to our collection.

The shirts in our collection have just arrived at Army and Air Force bases across the country on their initial release and the reaction by those who shop at Base Exchanges has been amazing and beyond what we could have hoped for.

Each Combat Artist whose artwork appears on one of the shirts in our collection receives a royalty on each shirt sold and partnered together we are making a donation toward a Military Charity in each branch of the service to help Veterans and their families.

Thank you for your time in reading over my letter and the information I have shared here. It is my hope that you will think enough of the Combat Artist Collection and what we are offering to share it as part of your blog.

Best regards,
Ed McGrath Creator and President / Combat Artist Collection
