Student Rom Houben was misdiagnosed after a car crash left him totally paralysed.
He had no way of letting experts, family or friends know he could hear every word they said...

How many other comatose patients are also aware of their external surroundings?
Many of them are going to be needlessly killed off after ObamaCare passes.
Well if it was me I would want to be unplugged. I have given my closest family and friends instructions, that should I become incapacitated, or vegetative, to unplug me.

Well that's the difference between having your own personal say in the matter, Mad Tom, and how the government will partition out medical care and determine who will live and will die.
If I may butt in---- if you can't afford your own care and have no likelihood of every being able to pay, why would you expect future taxpayers to do it for you? We are borrowing money to keep dopes alive, money that will have to be paid back by people in the future who will have no chance of having a standard of living anywhere approaching what we have known and won't even have the option of keeping people 'alive' for years. Generational theft is at least as immoral as slavery, yet we party on.
