Hate and Love

"Although I consider myself the ultimate cynic, a misanthrope really, even I have to admit that there are some things about this deployment that I actually enjoy. Now mind you, I didn’t say ‘Afghanistan’, I said ‘deployment’.

Before I begin though, I have to say that my friendship with Dean is the only thing that I will truly miss when I leave here 172 days from now. Dean has proven to be an indispensible asset to me and my team. He has become a friend. If he ever makes it to the States, I will go wherever he is to see him. If I shed any tears the day I leave Afghanistan, it will be for my friend Dean.

With that said, there are some, quite a few things that I actually enjoy about being here. Some are silly, little things, things of no apparent consequence to most people living ordinary lives in ordinary places. They are things that you may notice occasionally and take for granted. They may be things that you never realized, things that have been happening right around you forever."

Hi,

I think we all need to understand the realities of war first.

Army should be used for Defense and not for Attack...

I came across a site where they keep track of all the effects of ongoing wars, please do have a look at it - www.cammmo.org

If you feel like more people should know about it, then just invite your friends to view it - http://www.cammmo.org/invite_your_friends/index.php

If you want to get monthly updates of what is happening around the War, please subscribe to our monthly Newsletter - http://www.cammmo.org/newsletter_subscription.html

Thanks,
CAMMMO
