"During the road trip from hell a few weeks ago (Paradise by the MRAP Window), I got to talking to Specialist Zit Face, the 22 year old kid who was driving the vehicle in which I was a nauseous, grumpy passenger.
We made several stops that day so that his team leader could take care of some business with the local police chiefs and other such important people. He drove the lead MRAP in a four truck convoy that carried fifteen “pax” including me, Petty Officer Cordero and Dean. The team leader, a Georgia National Guard Major -who is just about the coolest guy in the world - is the only officer in the group. His right and left hand men are senior enlisted guys and both very competent themselves."
