Israeli police say rockets fired from Lebanon
JERUSALEM (AP) - Israeli police say at least three rockets have been fired into northern Israel from Lebanon.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says the rockets fell Thursday around the town of Nahariya, five miles south of the Lebanese border. Rescue services say least one person was lightly wounded.
Israeli defense officials say the military has been on alert for rocket attacks by Lebanon's Hezbollah militia since Israel intensified its offensive against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.
At the same time as northern barrage six rockets from Gaza hit towns in southern Israel.
