From what I saw and read on the subject--- ONE non-military guard to protect 170 loaded vehicles with hostiles INSIDE THE WIRE? I mean, it sounds increasingly like the hostiles have the potential to be anywhere and everywhere they want to be, so who is the idiot in charge of security here?
I took the comments to mean that only one held his ground, while the others disappeared into the night...But I not verified that, just my impression.
Either way, the question remains.
The question remains.
But there would be a difference. If it were shown that the one guy held his ground, and paid with his life, we should implement the saddam model. We should pay the widow, orphans, or parents, some amount, $10,000-15,000, reward for being a good Muslim that was true to his oath...See if we cant get more hearts and minds with the people we work with.
I think they only had to offer "babayface" $300-400 reward to his family for his cooperation in a suicide attack...
