Besides four half-empty coffee cups, an open bag of peanut M+Ms, 49 undergraduate papers, a large stack of fellowship applications (who would have thought that so many would be the greatest student in the history of their institution, while so few would admit to having committed felonies), and a somewhat frightening pile of unfiled papers?
