Watching Euro 2008 is better

"My wife accepted the truth that she has to watch the Euro Championship which is going on in Austria and Switzerland. She knows how much I love football (soccer). Most women don't like soccer, and I think this is one of the laws of nature. After a long argument with my wife who wants to watch movies and songs, I told her, "It only takes places once every four years and you have to stand that. This is the European Championship and its better than watching the politicians who keep talking without making any real progress."

My father joined my wife against me. My father watches almost all the news channels, although he knows very well that all of these channels repeat the same news all the time. Being a journalist and since my main work is following the political process in Iraq and the changes it makes, I feel that I'm fed up with the news. I can't even look at any news channel because I have lost confidence with our politicians. I made a few points of disagreement to persuade them to my point of view "
