I am sometimes a Right-Wing nut on certain issues, but I definitely don't think we have endless pool of resources (much like the limits of my sanity). Also, Madtom, what gives? You didn't like my hot pants advertisement =).
Nothing personal Nixon, It wasn't you, I was just ranting about all the others making such a big todo about nothing. So they used the flag raising to make a point about the need to protect the environment. You know we only have one atmosphere. And just like it took a great effort to rid the world of the axis powers, today's generations face the daunting task of learning to live with less or to learn how to do more with less. How are we going to do it. I don't know. Have we reached peek oil? If prices continue to rise at the current rate, how will we feed the world, what will happen to the global markets, and the economies of the world? These are big questions and I see no easy answers. So complaining about the use of the tree in the flag raising is just missing the point.
I read your post, I saw nothing wrong with it, but I have also seen and heard much from the right. You would think someone burned down a church or something.
And if you go back to the source of much of the anti enviro movement you find big oil and wall-mart behind them and funding the major radio personalities. That and the stupid six dayers...these people are to be confronted and exposed as greed mongering haters that they are.
