"WOOOOHOOOOOO — WE LEAVE NEXT MONTH…it is officially time to get the hell outta here…I think I can start counting down things now…although, I really don’t know what day I am leaving the FOB and still not really sure what day we are leaving Bagram, and we still have to go thru Kyrgyzstan, and not sure what day we leave from there…but whatever…I know I will be outta here and back in NC and back to Hawaii in the month of March…also, we got mail today… mom, I got your package—thank you very much…also, got a package from Jen…something a little different this time—we had to open our packages in front of the Sgt. Major…I guess better late than never, right?? I have no idea why this is starting now, but whatever…I don’t get contraband sent to me, so I don’t have to worry about anything…but, it was great to get some mail…some candy, beef jerky, Velveeta and shells, and some other useful items…thanks mommy, and thank you too Jen…both were very nice surprises…other than it being Feb. and getting mail, things around here were pretty much normal…"
