"Woke up around 2pm today …the ice shack wasn’t too bad, but I was still bundled up in my cold weather gear and high-tech sleeping bag …got up and took a nice 45 minute shower in the hot water …they had just cleaned the showers and I suppose everyone was at work, so there was plenty of hot water…went back to the shack and met up with the going on emergency leave…he had to go take care of some paperwork so I rolled over to the BX and got a candy bar and some coffee…went back over to the shack and our supply girl here at Bagram was there to pick us up to take us to some tents that actually have heaters…a couple of the infantry guys just came in this morning from leave and they were already in the tents…we are all flying out tomorrow morning to head back home…I hung out at the tent for a little bit and we went to the BX—the guy going on emergency leave is flying thru Qatar and will be getting on a civilian flight to get back to the US and has to be in civies to fly out of there…"
