Sadr Goes to Ground

"I suppose that everyone who is paying attention to events in Iraq knows that February 5 is Zero Hour for the crackdown on Moktada Al Sadr's militia thugs. But what's the purpose of making such a thing public in the first place? Sadr's people will surely react in some fashion, won't they? Or is the date a piece of calculated misinformation?"

I have a much more sinister explanation. I "sometimes" think that the "surge" is more of a media blitz for internal consumption, than a "blitzkrieg".

Hopefully I am wrong.
