Time in Iraq....

"While in 1016 QM, I have had the privilege of being in 1st plt. In Fort Bliss, Texas, we were trained and licensed as HET drivers. We then went off to Kuwait and then up into Iraq. Since the beginning of our tour, we have gone on back to back missions with little time off in between. We have traveled from southern Iraq all the way to Mosul .We have hauled tanks, hummers, skidders, bulldozers and once a large airplane that had to make an emergency landing out in the dessert. On November 2nd, I was promoted from SPC to SGT. I, along with twelve other soldiers, are now in the process of being inducted into the corps of NCOs. We are to have our induction within the next few days."
