I have another new post up on The Sandbox (link below). I’ve also posted some more photos on the New Photos Album. Check them out. More jingle truck photos, as well as me in my mukluks. Drives women wild. I can’t believe they aren’t in fashion back in the states.

We have a cold front coming through tomorrow, and we are supposed to have four days where the lows are going to be 2 – 4 degrees above zero. That should be the coldest yet. I’ll get to work out at the airport on at least one of those days. Mmmm, Mmmm, Good.

Hamid has been having lots of trouble with his teeth. The first night he had to go to the hospital to get something for the pain. The day after that he went back to the dentist, who round his teeth down some more, and put medicine on them that seems to have helped. Today he was feeling better. Thursday can’t get here quick enough, so he can get his crowns on.

Maj Apple shared with me his plans for his first day back in the states when he goes on leave next month. He has given permission for me to record it here for posterity. He intends to go to a Hooters (he is a big fan), stand on a table, and say, in a very loud voice, “I’ve been in Afghanistan for seven months. I’ve hugged men. I’ve kissed men, and I’m not gay! Bring me beer!” OK, boss, it’s recorded. Tune in next month to see if he really does it."
