Atabar Goes Too Far

Let’s review a comment I made yesterday:

I had just loosed a very naughty boy on an unsuspecting Afghanistan. I shudder to think how many people he is going to zap with that thing (the shock pen).

Little did I know how prophetic that statement would be, nor how quickly Col Atabar would live up to my expectations. I had barely gotten into my office today before Atabar was there, ready to tell me how successful his pranks had been. He started saying “Kabir,” and pantomiming the shock pen and subsequent reactions. I figured out without an interpreter that Atabar had gotten the Vice Commander, Lt Col Kabir. He laughed with glee as he showed me how angry Kabir was after getting shocked. Clearly Atabar had been running amuck. Shortly afterwards Hamid came in, and we learned just how amuck he had run. "
