Today we were treated to a USO Show. The 2006 Hope and Freedom Tour came to Camp Phoenix, the first time ever the USO has been here. The participants were:

Country Musicians Keni Thomas, Mark Willis, and DarrylWorley

Hip Hop Group The Washington Projects

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Laura Beke and Shenythia Willie

Model and TV personality Leeann Tweeden

The Army Band and Army Singers

I’ve never been to a USO show, but it is one of those defining moments in a deployed person’s life. If you’ve gone to war, you have to go to a USO show. I only wish Bob Hope could have been there."
